A Destination Wedding in Stockholm: Minna & Haydon’s Timeless Love Story
When I first met Minna and Haydon during their engagement shoot, I was struck by the genuine connection they shared. Minna, with her Swedish roots, and Haydon, an Australian with a love for adventure, made an incredible pair. Their story, filled with love and a deep respect for each other’s cultures, led them to invite me to Sweden to capture their wedding. I was thrilled to join them in Stockholm, where their love story would unfold in some of the city’s most historic and picturesque locations.
Our day began at the stunning Drottningholm Palace, a location that embodies the grandeur and elegance of Swedish history. The early morning light filtered through the trees, casting a golden glow on the palace’s beautiful gardens. Minna and Haydon chose this iconic location for their pre-reveal shoot, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The anticipation in the air was palpable as they saw each other for the first time, dressed in their wedding attire. Minna and Haydon chose Bromma Church, the oldest church in Sweden, for their ceremony. For the location photography, we explored Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s old town. The narrow, winding streets and colorful buildings offered a unique backdrop that captured the essence of Swedish culture. The day culminated in a reception at Skridskopaviljongen, an amazing venue that offered not only exceptional hospitality and food but also an intimate atmosphere perfect for celebrating with close family and friends. The warm, inviting space was filled with laughter, heartfelt toasts, and the joyful energy of loved ones coming together from across the globe to celebrate Minna and Haydon’s union.
