Canberra Wedding Photography | ACT | Canberra | Lanyon Homestead
Wow…what a day and what a couple!! I was lucky enough to meet Katherine and Michael earlier in the year when I was in Canberra ACT, capturing their adventure engagement shoot. Instantly I knew this couple had an amazing future ahead and felt such an awesome connection between them both. Moving forward I found myself capturing there special day and back in the bush capital for an epic wedding!
The wedding day began with a visit to the grooms capturing the boys for the big day. Michael and his four groomsmen looked the part, with the classic navy pants, white shirts and suspenders and a bow-tie for the groom. Lots of laughs, a few early beers (for them) to kick start the day and then I was off to see the beautiful bride Katherine with her girls. The sun was warming up, the girls all looked amazing and the champagne bubbles were flowing. Katherine looked amazing in her dress and her chosen flowers really complimented the style for the day.
The ceremony and the rest of the day was at the stunning Lanyon Homestead in Tharwa Canberra. With heritage listed buildings and stunning views, Lanyon Homestead was a unique and tranquil venue for the couple’s special day. The ceremony was nestled in one of the many beautiful little gardens, and it followed with us exploring around the grounds. Alongside the 1850s Homestead, the property boasts original outbuildings and the offers a great rustic feel. The evening sun started to dip behind the rolling hills and the night was still going strong with the dance floor tunes. A perfect day watching Katherine and Michael tie the knot and I will defiantly remember this special day for a long time to come.
