Originally from Colombia and Argentina, Juan and Maria chose to celebrate their marriage surrounded by their closest friends in an intimate and meaningful way. Their day embraced everything an elopement should be—personal, relaxed and completely centred around the two of them. Their wedding day began with a simple civil ceremony at the Brisbane Registry, where they exchanged vows in front of their witnesses and closest friends. It was intimate, heartfelt and the perfect way to officially begin their journey as husband and wife.
As an elopement photographer in Brisbane, I love how relaxed registry weddings can be. Without the pressure of a large wedding, couples can truly focus on each other and enjoy every moment. After the ceremony, we wandered through the vibrant streets of Brisbane, documenting their excitement as newlyweds. The city provided an incredible backdrop with its modern architecture, hidden laneways, colourful streets and riverside views. Every location reflected their joyful personalities and gave us endless opportunities to create natural, authentic photographs.
But the adventure wasn’t over yet. After exploring Brisbane, we made our way north for the next chapter of their wedding day. The peaceful atmosphere made every moment feel incredibly special.

We explored the rugged coastline, wandered along the beach, climbed over the rocks and simply let Juan and Maria enjoy being together. There was no timeline to rush, no strict schedule to follow—just time to celebrate, laugh and soak in the incredible scenery. As the afternoon faded into evening, the Sunshine Coast delivered one final gift: a breathtaking golden sunset. The warm glow wrapped around them as they celebrated the beginning of their married life together, creating some of the most romantic photographs of the day.
